Laser cutting

Laser cutting is one of the most popular and very effective methods of processing many different materials. During cutting, a hot laser beam is used, as well as technical gas of high purity. Laser cutting can be done in three different ways: melting, burning or sublimation. The choice of a particular method depends on the treatment equipment and its power. The laser cutting technology enables the processing of many different materials, even very hard ones, such as titanium alloys.

Laser cutting is one of the flagship services of our company. Thanks to this technology, we are able to create many different products, such as steel sheets, steel hinges, hinge tilting mechanisms, table bases, mooring cleats and anchor rollers. Laser cutting is characterized by remarkable precision, excellent speed, as well as unmatched performance and versatility. The lack of post-processing is also considered a great advantage of laser cutting. What’s more, it seals the edges and prevents them from fraying.

What exactly is laser burning? Well, the laser beam directed at the material heats it very much until it melts or evaporates. The actual cutting begins when the laser beam penetrates the material at a given point. The laser path follows a predetermined geometry. As a result of laser cutting, the processed material is separated.

Sheet metal laser cutting

Laser cutting allows to obtain an extremely precise shape of the sheet. It is also worth adding that it ensures repeatability that is not possible with other machining technologies. It is a type of sheet metal processing that uses a laser beam to make incisions. However, it is worth remembering that there are different methods of laser cutting sheet metal – they are selected for specific materials. The most popular of these are: evaporation, burning, melting and blowing, and the formation of cracks.

Aluminum laser cutting

In turn, laser cutting of aluminum is a guarantee of careful and accurate execution. The elements processed by this method are distinguished by a smooth structure and even edges. Thanks to laser cutting, it is possible to produce extremely unique and precisely profiled shapes from aluminum. Our company, KW Construction, offers both individual and serial orders of any shape. We work with materials from the best suppliers, and the elements we manufacture are ready for assembly.

Steel laser cutting

We perform laser cutting of steel with a very efficient laser, which ensures the highest quality of work while maintaining excellent speed. Therefore, this method of processing guarantees very high efficiency. By means of laser cutting, we can obtain almost any shape of steel, as well as any number of repeatable elements. Thanks to the use of vibration-resistant devices, we also provide our customers with the ideal dimensions of the cut steel elements.

Advantages of laser cutting

Below we present the most important advantages of laser cutting. Find out why you should use this technology:

  1. Laser cutting is suitable for processing many types of materials. There is no other technology that can cut such a wide variety of material types – both organic and inorganic.
  2. No post-processing is required for laser cutting. After laser cutting, the edges of the material are smooth and even. Laser cutting is in fact a process which is even able to seal the edges of the fabric, protecting them from unraveling. As a result, additional post-treatment in the form of sandblasting or mechanical sealing can be completely dispensed with. No matter what material was used.
  3. It is also worth mentioning that laser cutting guarantees the highest level of machining accuracy. Kerf that is formed by machining is slightly greater than the binding of each laser. Thanks to this, you can cut very precise and complex shapes.
  4. Laser cutting machines are very durable and do not wear out. This is a huge advantage that allows you to save a lot. With this type of treatment, you do not have to worry about fusing heads, for example .
  5. It should also not be forgotten that this type of processing ensures maximum use of the material. In the case of laser cutting, there is no loss of material. The material is cut in such a way that there are as few rejects as possible after processing. So it is a very economical solution.
  6. Laser cutting ensures high efficiency. There are no downtime or errors during processing. The whole process runs very smoothly, it is also extremely effective and efficient.

Laser cutting – what materials can be cut with the laser?

Many different materials can be processed with laser cutting. These range from plastics, metals and other materials, namely: ABS acrylic / PMMA , d rewno oli ę metal A ( 0.5 mm ), rubber, cardboard, cork, paper, PET , foam, polyamide , polyester, polyethylene, polyimide polyoxymethylene , polypropylene, polystyrene, polyphenylene sulfide, polybutylene terephthalate, polyurethane, polycarbonate and fabrics.
